Hello crafty friends,
I'm so glad you stopped by today. This is my 3rd entry into one of the 10 challenges for Winnie & Walter's 3rd birthday! I'm playing along with Vanessa's ink blending challenge. If you just happened to stumble upon this post, please check out the details of the challenge here.
Here's the card I created:
I used 4 different Distress Inks to create my blending look
over the Multifaceted Stencil.
In a clockwise pattern starting from the top right corner I
blended Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac, starting with
pink sugar, blending down into Victorian Velvet, leading into Dusty Concord, and
finally into the Shaded Lilac at the top left to blend into the Spun Sugar. I faded the color so the center of the card
remained mostly white to provide a focal area for the sentiment.
For the sentiment I used a combination of the smaller words
heat embossed onto small vellum strips. I die cut the word die “smiles” from a prepared piece of cardstock glued to thin craft foam (the cardstock had already
been shaded with the same colors as the card front panel). After die cutting I curved it a bit before adhering to the card
front.
To finish it off, I added a few sequins from this set,
including a little star to “dot” the “i” in
“smiles”.
Following is a list of the W&W supplies used for this project:
I really enjoyed creating this for the challenge and hope this inspires you to create something fun with one or more of the products used.
I will be posting at least two more entries to other challenges so if you want to keep up with what I'm doing, please subscribe by email (form on the right sidebar) or use the Bloglovin subscribe button.
I love to get feedback so please feel free to leave a comment!
Hugs,
Teresa
