Tic Tac Toe Time - Challenge #9

Hello crafty friends,

Hope you are having a fantastic week so far!  This week's board is tons of fun with lots of fun options!  Please visit the challenge blog here to see the design team inspiration and play along.

I went with the middle row down - sequins - distress inks - stencil for this week's inspiration.

Products used are linked at the end of the post using affiliate links at no cost to you.  All products used for this project were personally purchased.

A fun trend that I've been seeing a lot of lately is doing a die cut of the sentiment after coloring in a panel.  In order to keep the color on this from being overwhelming, I used the stencil to first add a neutral background on white by stamping over the stencil onto the paper with Versamark ink and heat embossing in white powder on the background while masking off the center, then using Distress Inks in an ink blending technique to add the colored center section.

The center section is further  separated by adding washi tape strips at the top and bottom.  The sentiment was die cut from the center section.  To add dimension between the base layer, the sentiment was die cut from a solid orange cardstock three times and then glued on top of each other to create separation.

To finish the card, yellow and orange sequins are glued onto the center panel.

This is the type of technique where you  can experiment with any large stencil you have in combination with word dies to get a similar look

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you will play along with us this week!
