Popping in for a quick post.
It's been awhile since I've participated in card challenges. I took an opportunity between other posts to create this simple and elegant card.
Mama Elephant has some gorgeous sentiment sets like the one I used today. that make a wonderful focal point all on their own. Just a few snowflakes stamped around it were enough to really make it shine. I used So Suzy Stamps for the snowflakes.
Using simple masking I blended two blue inks together along with some silver that I blended in as streaks with a dry brush and created a solid band of silver at one end of the shape to meet the sketch requirement at CAS(E) this sketch #248 challenge. Metallic elements on a card can be particularly challenging to capture in a photo and the best angle to see the gorgeous sentiment in silver embossing was for me to pick it up and hold at "just" the right angle for a close up (below).
I chose the colors for this design to also meet the color scheme of the current Color Throwdown challenge #469.
