Stacked die cut shaker - Video Hop with prizes

Hello crafty friends,

I have a technique to share that I thought up on my own, or at least at this point I have not seen anyone else do this exact thing before.

If you love shaker cards but don't like all the work involved with adding pieces of foam tape, etc. etc. then you may find this an easier way to do this with certain dies.  The ideal die is one that has both separate openings but is enclosed on all sides.  The one I used today isn't exactly all closed, but it wasn't too difficult to work around that and still not have to use double sided foam tape cut in a million little pieces.

Think of any of those cover plate dies you have already - you may be able to adapt this to those dies.  For instance the Queen Company offers lots of dies intended for shakers but you usually have to buy their foam kits in order to create more cards.

I also happen to be showcasing this technique in a very unique video hop along with some bigger names in the craft industry, including Justine Hovey, who is the organizer of the hop.  Along every stop in the hop is a prize - so you can go here to start at the beginning - Sponsors of the hop include:

Here is my video contribution to the hop - HOWEVER, in order to have a chance to win you have to jump over to YouTube and comment there since there is a chance to win a different prize on each and every stop.  To start at the beginning of the hop go here otherwise you may go to my direct video link below the embedded video on this post.  Winners will be announced after the completion of the hop at Justine's blog.

I used my Cricut Explore to do the die cuts on the gray cardstock and craft foam piece - if you happen to have this die and want the exact file used on this project my file link is here.  You should not need a subscription to Design Space to use it since these are basic shapes available to all who use Design Space to create projects.
