Lava lamp interactive light up card | New medium discovery

Hello crafty friends,

I've been experimenting behind the scenes for a couple of months on creating this card.  I did not have any template, stamps, etc. to start from so this is a true "from the drawing board" type of project.  Even if you are not into interactive cards, I think there's still some takeaways for you as well.

If someone else has thought up this idea to combine Ranger Glossy Accents and alcohol inks as a "gel" medium let him (or her) speak now or forever hold her peace.  Ok??  no one.... let's get started :)

I created a video because there's just no easy way to write up a process like this.  I'm going to help you out by providing the link to the Cricut file I used.  The good news is none of the images used requires you to buy a subscription from Cricut - if you already own at least an Explore Air and use Design Space you should be able to use this file to recreate this.  I would ask that if you do decide to duplicate this project to link back to this post and give me the credit for inspiration.

Here's the video for your enjoyment!  If you have not subscribed yet, please visit my channel here and click the subscribe button.

Below are the products used in this project - I do participate in affiliate programs and in some cases the links below may be from one of them.  If you use them to purchase the product(s) used I may make a small commission and it does not impact the price you pay.  I personally purchased all the products used in this post and this is not sponsored.  For further details on affiliate programs I participate in please see my Disclosures page.

I hope you love this project as much as I enjoyed making it and sharing.
