Summer Challenge | Ice Cream Circle card

Hello crafty friends,

Are you ready to make some summer themed cards?  I definitely am.  Ice cream just "screams" summer so of course I had to pull out my favorite So Suzy ice cream stamp for this occasion :)

For the next month we invite you to create a summer themed card (Crackerbox & So Suzy stamps are encouraged but not necessary to play) and link it up to the challenge here:

My card shows how with even with just one stamp you can make a huge impact on a card.  I stamped the ice cream a dozen times (but only used 9 on the card) before coloring with Copic markers.  I wanted variety in the colors but not so much that it got distracting.  I stuck to 3 color schemes on the cones to represent lime, orange, vanilla, strawberry and a hint of chocolate.

I used my Brother Scan N cut to die cut all the cones (without any white border) as if I had fussy cut by hand.  In order to arrange the cones I put some temporary adhesive onto a scrap piece of cardstock, then arranged the cones as seen above.  I used a piece of Glad Press N Seal to pick up the arrangement (while removing it from the cardstock).  I added liquid adhesive on the back of the die cut cones, then flipped over onto a square piece of white cardstock.

Next I layered the panel with the cones onto a larger square of patterned paper, and then layered that onto a white square card base.

the sentiment was stamped onto a coordinating piece of cardstock with Versamark, then heat embossed with white powder.  I trimmed as close as possible to the overall sentiment and then popped up with foam adhesive tape.

For finishing touches, I added some Bo Bunny glitter paste on top of the ice cream to make it shimmer.  I also added some dark red Nuvo drops with the idea they would look like cherries, however in the photo they look more like chocolate.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my card - now let's see what you do with this theme!
