Autumn Bliss leafy framed card

Hello crafty friends,

Fall is finally arriving in Texas and I am feeing inspired to create cards in warm autumn colors like today's card.  This leafy framed card was created with just two stamps and a technique that is easy to replicate.   Psssst!  The sentiment is 50% off this month at the store - link to the stamp is at the bottom of this post.

I started with a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of cream cardstock then stamped just the top part of the leaf stamp in four Catherine Pooler inks - they are available for sale at the Crackerbox & Suzy stamps store too!  The picture tutorial will show the pattern I stamped in and which color it is as I go along.  If you happen to miss a little spot when stamping this technique is forgiving enough that all you need to do is stamp on top in another color and you're good to go.

After stamping all the colors, the next thing I did is stamp in random places with Versamark ink, added some gold embossing powder and heat set it to add a little shine to the panel.  The sentiment is stamped with Tutti Frutti ink.  I then trimmed down the panel about 1/8" around all sides and glued it down to a kraft card base.

I hope I have inspired you to try this simple technique - if you are interested in the supplies I used on my card links are at the bottom of this post for you to check out.

I would be remiss if I didn't share the current sales/discounts going on at the Crackerbox & Suzy store - here is what you'll find for a limited time only.
