I am sharing an easy and fun papercrafting project - I call it a K-cup holder, however I'm sure there are other similarly sized items (such as a 4 0z espresso cup) that could be used. I only had K cups on hand and thought they would be perfect to illustrate the concept
Here's a picture tutorial showing how I created this project.
I started with an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of 110 lb kraft cardstock and trimmed it into a 3" x 11" strip. (note: I accidentally cut this piece to 3.5" x 11" so it is a bit larger than my original)
Then I scored this strip in 4 places, at 3/4", 3 1/4", 4" and 6 1/2"
Next I die cut a circle (1 1/2" die) between the 34" and 3 1/4" scored lines
Next I partially folded the cardstock as shown, bringing the bottom edge (near die cut) up to meet the last scored line in the Misti. I put a bar magnet to hold it in place and used the pile of coffee beans (the orientation I'm pointing to since this is a two stamp set) to stamp in 3 places using Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink.
I added scor-tape to the small flap that will be adhered to the "back" of the project.
Before removing the liner from the tape I folded the cardstock flat down on my mat, then folded the back over top of the flap. Hopefully this picture makes sense of what I mean
when unfolded now the basic frame is made
I laid the finished project next to my one in progress to show where I die cut the top of the "back" panel with an edger die (all products listed at bottom of post). Even though I had already glued the bottom together I was still able to just run the top through my die cut machine by folding the piece flat again temporarily. now I'm laying the patterned paper down (already die cut with a stitched rectangle die) to determine where to cut it.
now you see what it looks like after being die cut

The rest is simple to explain. I die cut a snowflake out of metallic teal cardstock, then layered my sentiment after stamping it onto vellum with the same CP ink, quickly adding clear embossing powder and heat setting it. I die cut the vellum with an oval die and glued on using some Ranger multi matte medium.
