Elegant thinking of you card

Hello crafty friends,

The month of February has been a very fun collaboration between Crackerbox & Suzy stamps and Rinea.   I used the glossy gold foil in my design after die cutting it with a gorgeous die from Spellbinders.  The multi- colored oval in the center is something I saved from another card and once I came up with my idea for this card I knew it would fit right in.

I created a multiple layer card with lots of texture.  I started with a card base of Neenah desert storm.  The next layer is a piece of shimmery pale yellow cardstock, embossed with an embossing folder.  The next layer (the oval) is a piece of watercolor paper, stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder.  I used Ken Oliver color burst on the watercolor paper using the sprinkle on dry, then spray with water to disperse the color.

The gold foliage was die cut and embossed with a Spellbinder die.  The sentiment was stamped on a piece of vellum with Versamark.  Gold embossing powder was sprinkled on top and heat set.  Next the vellum was die cut with an oval die and glued on top with Ranger multi-matte medium.

I am very happy with how my card turned out with the combination of dry embossing, heat embossing, die cut gold foil paper and so on.
