Make custom invitations with Nio products + Giveaway

Hello crafty friends,

Today I am starting part one of a two-part special feature using products from Nio (Cosco Industries) to make customized invitations and envelopes.  There are three main color themes for the paper products line - I am showing off the Mint line with silver accents and accessories.  No matter what the occasion, you can easily create invitations and party decor for a coordinated look.  Here is a look at two different versions of an invitation card.   All the products shown below were provided to me by Cosco to share with my readers.

In the photo above the following Nio products are pictured.

Cards & Envelopes - Mint
Star paper clips - Silver
Confetti - Mint & Silver
Ink color (stamped on card) Noble Blue
Masking Tape - Silver

I will be giving away one Nio stamping tool, complete with a custom stamp voucher, so you can order/design your own special occasion stamp.  Please keep reading for more details on this.

Here is a close up of the card I will show in more detail in the instructional video.  I used the confetti and masking tape to create a custom decoration detail and when you watch the video I'll reveal the secret behind the blue circles stamped on the card.  It's a common household item that you might not think to use as a stamp.

I found the quality of the cards to be a good weight (I estimated about 100 lb) and the coordinating envelopes are supplied without adhesive so you can stamp them first, then add your own adhesive.  In the video, I share my tips for getting a good stamped image on the envelopes.  The stamping tool is also very easy to use, even if you are not an experienced stamper.

***  GIVEAWAY INFORMATION  ***
If you would like to be entered into the random drawing for the Nio stamping tool (shown below), please make sure to leave a comment on this blog post below no later than May 31, 2020, at midnight Central US time.  The winner will be announced on that post, and you never know, there "could" be another surprise giveaway on the next post as well.

If you are reading this in email and the video does not display for you, hop on over to my YouTube channel to watch here

Fringe die cut cards with Rinea

Hello crafty friends,
Fringe is one of those things that is just fun and I had a good time putting some cards together with some die cuts made from several colors of Rinea foiled paper.  I have an announcement to share with you - Rinea has opened a Design Team call for crafters around the world to join for the next term - details on that are here.
It only takes a bright shot of color to make a statement on a card in my opinion.  I like creating backgrounds that complement rather than distract from that statement and I hope you will enjoy watching my video showing how to replicate this look, whether or not you have specialized or basic tools, this is something you can do.

If you are still with me I'd like to share something with you.  I launched a new quarterly giveaway program and the only thing you need to do is subscribe to my email list.  Once a quarter I will reward one lucky subscriber a mystery box full of crafty goodness worth an average of $50-75 retail.  It may or may not include new, unopened products along with gently used craft supplies, such as stamps, stencils, inks, foil, etc.  I wrote an entire post to announce it - if you missed it, you can find that here.

If you subscribed by email prior to Jan 24, 2020 you will want to get on the new list or else you will miss out on being in the drawing!

Inking tips for Rinea Arctic Starstruck foiled paper

Hello crafty friends,
One of my first thoughts when I first saw this new foiled paper color (Arctic) from Rinea, I was thinking how cool it would be to color/stamp on it.  Having a white background makes it possible to see the true colors of the ink applied to it.  Even better if the paper has a texture/pattern to it like the Arctic/Arctic Starstruck foiled paper.
Here is more close up version of the card showing the decorative elements I added to it with dimensional drops
