BBQ themed card - DIY denim look technique

Hello crafty friends,

Now that it's June the countdown is on until Father's Day.  I purchased two specific Waffle Flower stamp sets just to create some cards for this occasion.  This is the first time I've used any stamps from this brand and think I am very likely to purchase more.  Not every man is necessarily into doing BBQ but many I've known that do like to be known as the master of BBQ he he.  Something about BBQ seems to be a natural domain for guys amiright?

The apron on my card is a custom made embellishment made using basic dies (rectangle and circle) and colored with alcohol markers and "texturized" using a couple of techniques.  Please be sure to watch the video to see how this came together.  Doesn't this look like real denim?

Here is a close up of the card showing the "stitches" along the apron made with a Copic Multi-liner pen.

If you look closely at the black panel, you will see the subtle pattern from stamping and heat embossing with clear ink.  I think this is easier to see in the video than in the still photo, whereas the stitching is easier to see in the photo.  In real life, both are easy to see.

Here's the video showing the entire process and below that is the products list.  Please note that affiliate links are used.  If my work inspires you I would appreciate your support using these links if you decide to purchase any of the products used on this project.  Doing so supports my blog, YouTube channel and future giveaways.
