Here is the card I created featuring two new stamp sets - Sail Away and Anchors Away plus one of the fabulous patterned paper called Sail Away.
I stamped the tiny anchor stamp on a piece of kraft card stock with white pigment ink to create a subtle background pattern. I stamped the sentiment in navy blue ink using a MISTI to ensure the placement and to be able to stamp more than once if needed.
The patterned Sail Away paper is cut to fit the front of an A2 sized card and creates a nice matted frame. I used the paper again to create an open circle using two circle dies. To save paper, you could cut this out of the rectangle panel since it is covered up by the kraft layer. The inside picture was colored with Copic markers (B00, BG15, B16, YR16, R59) to coordinate with the paper colors. Additional details were added with a white gel pen.
I added natural twine around the kraft panel 3 times and tied in a knot on the front. I added foam adhesive tape on the back of the panel (avoiding the twine) and popped it up on the patterned paper. The sailboat image was die cut in a circle shape and the circle frame was popped up with pop dots.
