Get well card with some stamp tricks

Hello crafty friends,

Hope you are having a great week!  I had a bit of computer trouble so this post is a tad late, but at least I did get it up on the right date after all!  I won't bore you with the computer trauma and just show you my card.

First of all I will just share that I used patterned paper to simplify things.  This gorgeous wood grain background was so nice on it's own I thought it would look great to stamp directly on it.  I didn't want to die cut the sentiment either, so I looked for another way to frame it.  Now this is the part where the trickery comes in.  The "wreath" you see around my sentiment is from a stamp that has another image in the middle of the outside.  Here are some photos to show you how that worked.

As you can see below, the stamp on the door of my MISTI has an image right in the middle that I didn't want to stamp.  So I very carefully stamped just the outside "wreath" part and made sure to wipe off any ink I accidentally got where I didn't want it, then stamped it onto the paper.

After that I needed to position the sentiment stamps so that they would fit within the space above.  Misti again to the rescue to help me align the words while I selectively inked just the word or words I wanted.  So you can see how I positioned the first part of the sentiment onto the paper before picking up the stamp with the door of the Misti.  I then only inked the first two words

and voila!

I just put the "a" on the next line and "speedy" next to that, then recovery on the bottom by itself. (in the picture below I had not yet stamped the "a" but I think you get the general idea.
