Teachers are so important - and not JUST because my own sister and brother-in-law are teachers. :)
It takes a lot of patience to do this work and I bet you are likely to know a teacher that deserves some special recognition. I created these four cards with the newest Dare 2B Artzzy stamp set called Best Teacher and the coordinating dies.
I also have a fabulous TECHNIQUE video on the stamping part. If you are already familiar with stamp layering you understand that concept. My video shows how I used stamps that arent' meant for layering in a layering style. What?? You must watch the video my friends.
Before we get to the video, here are the cards up close so you can see more of the details
When I saw these "oh so cute" cookie stamps I not only thought nom nom nom (lol) but how can I make the most impact with it. So half a dozen cookies later, I think I got it down. Using some of the D2BA patterned paper as a layer upon a kraft square card base (5" x 5") and mustard solid cardstock, the fun plaid paper is a great contrast. I used this paper on each card in one layer or another. I also used the Wavy die (it's from a tiered size set that I absolutely love). Links are at the end of this post.
Instead of using a more typical white background for the sentiment I used a makeup brush to add some soft green color (D2BA Margarita Lime) to white cardstock, then stamped in a contrasting teal color from a Dare 2B Artzy ink called Paradise.
The apple above was stamped using the backside of the apple-shaped sentiment in the set. If you're saying "whoa!" by now be sure to check out the video (keep scrolling its in here)
Here's the video
